MARKET SOLUTIONS TO CLIMATE CHANGE CONFERENCE AGENDA
OAKLAND, Calif.—UN Foundation President Timothy E. Wirth has been added to the agenda for the "Market Solutions to Climate Change: Strengthening the Economy and Securing Our Energy Future" conference to be held tomorrow in Washington, D.C.
The conference, sponsored by Redefining Progress, will be held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15 in the Gold Room, 2168 Rayburn House Office Building. Wirth will speak during lunch at 1:30 p.m. The luncheon, and a reception to follow the conference, will be held in the Rayburn HOB Foyer.
Wirth has been the president of the UN Foundation since its inception in 1998. He was the first Undersecretary for Global Affairs for the U.S. Department of State, a position he held from 1993-97. Wirth previously was a U.S. Representative (1975-87) and U.S. Senator (1987-93) from Colorado.
